9/11
by Celeste Longacre
In light of the recent
events of September 11th, I would like to spend some time focusing on the
larger picture. What has just occurred? Can we even begin to wonder why?
Astrologically, planet Saturn (God of Form, Structure, Business,
Buildings, Law & Order, Logic & Discipline) is currently doing a
Dance in opposition to planet Pluto (God of Death & Rebirth,
Deep-seated Rumblings & Explosions). Our whole World (Saturn) has been
shaken up (Pluto) and we will never again be the same. We are literally
being asked to transform ourselves totally and completely at a very deep
level. We need to take a look at the very foundations of our society
(Saturn) in order to transform (Pluto) basic beliefs and attitudes that no
longer work. The drama continues as October has a veritable plethora of
aspects (more than I can remember seeing in a long time) and Saturn and
Pluto will remain in opposition for many months.
But I would like to digress
here and take a look at some very interesting numbers. The other day, I
was emailed some interesting revelations about the connections of this
event to the number 11. The attack occurred on 9/11, 9+1+1=11. Sept. 11 is
the 254th day of the year; 2+5+4=11. After Sept. 11, there are 111 days
left in the year. The Twin Towers, standing side by side, always looked
like the number 11. The first plane to hit the towers was American's
Flight 11. New York was the 11th state to join the Union. There are 11
letters in New York City, Afghanistan and The Pentagon. There were 92
people aboard Flight 11; 9+2=11. There were 65 people on Amercian's Flight
77; 6+5=11.
So, what is 11 all about?
The 11th Tarot card is "Justice." Implied within this card is
balance and harmony; a leveling out. I have also often noted that
Aquarius, that wondrous sign for the new Age whose brink we stand upon, is
the 11th sign of the Zodiac. For years, in my professional speaking
presentations, I have been saying that I see this 11 as masculine and
feminine, different, but side by side and equal. We are evolving out of
the Patriarchy, but not headed back into a Matriarchy (we forget that we
used to kill the King for a good harvest). I rather refer to it as (I
can’t even remember where this term came from—I might have made it up)
an Egaligarchy.
The Mayans' 26,000 year
Calendar also comes to an end in 2012 (11 years from now). The Mayans
believe that when their Calendar ends in April of 2012, the world as we
know it will come to an end. But it is not an end of destruction. They
believe that at that time, we are going to become Galactic. They also say
that everything that happens up until that time is in preparation for it.
(I did, several years ago, actually see a spaceship. It was huge,
beautiful--covered with twinkling lights just like in the
movies--unbelievably quick and totally silent. It made me smile.)
Another thing to consider: My husband, Bob,
saw the symbolism of duality in this event. It's time to look at the
"us vs. them" or "rich vs. poor" etc. When I was a
child, I was upset by the fact that humanity lost the Garden of Eden (and
isn’t it interesting that "Paradise" was a Garden?) when we
ate of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge good & evil. How could
this be? I thought that knowledge was a good thing...
Years ago, I was at an invitational
conference put on by the Menninger Foundation. Al Huong was speaking. He
had grown up in China and moved to the USA as an older teenager. All of a
sudden, he stopped speaking about his topic, looked out at us and said,
"You know, in China, we do not say yin and yang. In fact, in China,
we consider it wrong to say yin and yang. It's yin/yang."
And I got it! That little "and"
could be an "or" allowing us to close ranks around our culture,
nation, sex, species, whatever, thereby pretending that everything
and everybody else doesn't matter. The truth is that we all matter and we
are all very much connected.
I can't help but believe
that the final outcome of the events of September 11th will be positive.
Perhaps we need to become One as a globe before we can become One with
other Galaxies. Every nation on this planet was personally touched by the
events (and most actually lost individuals) at the World Trade Center. We
should truly look at it as a uniting factor and hold the Vision of Unity.
Look at the outpouring of LOVE:
Cell phone calls from the towers and the planes wanted to tell their
families that they were loved. Donations of blood, money and goods
continue to pour into New York. Musicians hold festivals and take
donations; children and parents have bake sales and yard sales.
Look at the outpouring of LIGHT:
Candles are being lit everywhere! And, don’t forget: Darkness cannot
exist in the Light. Wrap yourself, your home and your families in bubbles
of white light and you will repel the Dark.
So, let’s all join our hearts and hands
and begin to unravel this new puzzle. Let’s examine how we can more
fully respect one another and acknowledge each other. How difficult is it
to compliment our fellow human beings? Yet, how often do we do it? Smile
at strangers; they often smile back!
I believe that a bit of darkness may await
us before we truly emerge into the Light, but I also totally believe that
the Light is where we are headed. We need to resolve our problems,
celebrate our differences and open our hearts. And, we are now on our
way....
